Maybe it's too obvious to bother mentioning but I think the photos or lack thereof is the first clue to a person being an in- or ex- trovert. I am an introvert and I still look like this 0_o on twitter. I just started following you as recommended by cj76530.

Someone pointed out how Twitter was the great equalizer as you can't identify whether a person has a preference for Introversion or Extraversion. It seems to allow people to hear each other in a new way that they might not face to face. I appreciate your comments - thanks for stopping by

Sandy - thanks for the Twitter post! As a textbook ENFJ, I find Twitter addictive and am constantly struck by the sense of communities I find among the people I follow. The ways they interact, who talks about what and my perceptions of why. Very interesting!

Everything that I have learned so far points to Twitter being a very important direction in relationship building using Social Media. I read recently that Twitter matches the way the brain naturally processes. On Tweetlater you can set up alerts for keywords in your area of expertise.

Since you already are a movie star in building relationships on LinkedIn I hope that you spend some time finding and following the experts in your field and you will definitely see results.

What's the link to you on Twitter? I would like to have a link to Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn on my blog.

Once I achieve that 4-hour work week, I'll have to take a look at all this :-)

I never really thought about myself in these therms - extrovert, introvert - but looks like I am certainly a twitter introvert, because I can't seem to find my voice for that media.

With Linkedin and especially blogging, I feel I am more in control. Perhaps that's the 'teacher' in me?

What do you think?

You have painted a wonderful picture of the power of Social Media. Mike Jay of Leaderhip University talks about the need to reach out to others as an essential part of building resilience. It is interesting to see how this works as your own resilience has built as a by-product of connecting on the web. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Coach Deb and Warren are right on about social media and introversion. As an introvert, I can attest that the emergence of social networking tools and blogs have released my inner extrovert! And the interesting thing is that the more active I am with social media, the better known I become and the more I'm invited to be extroverted by speaking and attending more events in person.

The online networking helps break down the barriers so when I meet people face to face for the first time, it's like we're long-time friends. I love it.
